2017 Randall's Island Music Festivals:
A favorite among music fans from all over, Governors Ball will take over Randall’s Island (not to be confused with Governor's Island in Lower Manhattan) from June 2 through 4 this year. Launched in 2011, this year’s festival looks to be its best yet, with a wide range of outstanding acts. This year’s artists include Chance the Rapper, Lorde, Childish Gambino, Bleachers, Charli XCX, Wiz Khalifa, the Head and the Heart, Kehlani, and many more.
This Labor Day weekend, electronic music fans from all over will flock to Randall’s Island for Electric Zoo. Now in its ninth year, Electric Zoo brings together a wide range of well-known and up-and-coming electronic dance music artists.
From July 28 through 30, Randall’s Island will be home to New York City’s newest music festival, Panorama. Created by the event producers behind Coachella, Panorama is billed as three days of music, art, technology and food offerings. With an array of local food vendors, excellent technology displays and discussions, and an outstanding lineup of musical guests, Panorama looks to kick off its first year in a big way. Acts include Frank Ocean, Solange, Tame Impala, alt-J, A Tribe Called Quest, Nine Inch Nails, Cashmere Cat, Belle and Sebastian, and many more.
